I set up my iPhone on a tripod to take this shot (on Geordie’s Hill, near Langholm) but I knew I had to get a wriggle on because, behind me, I could see that there was a storm on the way. I packed up quickly and got a little further up the hill before the deluge hit.
The photo below was taken two minutes after the one above. Quite a good example of how hill weather can change in seconds.
Earlier in the day I was happy to discover that one of the shortcuts between asphalted roads that looked good on the map was also good on the ground. That is if you don’t mind riding through sheep poo.
